Why can’t they make Mother’s Day the same day worldwide?

OK so I understand that you have days that are specific to that particular country like Australia Day or you want to make day light saving fitted for their purpose, which is absolutely fine. But for example, Queen’s birthday holiday, which is celebrated in colonies of UK but not in the UK itself (weird!) is not the same in these countries either! How many birthdays does she have?

But why can’t they make Mother’s Day the same day worldwide?  Surely mothers are a worldwide thing and they have them in all 144 countries of the world right? Today is Mother’s Day in Hong Kong and Australia as far as I know, not sure which other country. But since I’m in the UK at the moment I completely was not aware of it…I’m so sorry mum. Happy Mother’s Day!

Today was mothers day in the US also. Never thought about it not being a universal holiday. Interesting.
